Important Patient Update from 1st October 2025

From October 1st, the way you contact Ariel Healthcare is changing slightly. This follows new changes to the GP contract, which require all patients to be able to contact their GP practice online during core working hours.  (Monday to Friday 8am to 6.30pm).

To meet this, we are adjusting our online consultation platform KLINIK. Here is how it works:

  1. Go to our website and click on “Contact us online.” (The yellow banner at the top of the page).
  2. Initially you will be offered the option to book an appointment with an online pharmacy for various conditions such as; UTI’s, Sore Throat, Insect Bites and more.
  3. If your symptoms fall outside of this, you will then be presented with another set of tiles - Choose the one that best matches your need.

If, for example, you need an appointment, click that tile and you’ll be guided to complete a short KLINIK form. This is to be used for one problem per consultation.

  • I feel I need to be assessed today/tomorrow (New Health Problem)
  • I’d like to be seen/contacted by a GP at a later date (Ongoing Health Problem)

Once you’ve submitted the form, our clinical triage team will review it. The clinical triage team is formed of GP's, nurse practitioners and paramedics. They will aim to get back to you within one working day. We’ll let you know what the next step is, and who is the most appropriate clinician to help you.

It’s very important to remember: The practice is not an emergency service - If you try to use it for this, you will be redirected to call 999 or attend A&E.

On occasion we may reach ‘on the day’ capacity. This will mean that the ‘New Health Problem’ tile will be turned off. In this instance we recommend that you contact 111, www.111.nhs.uk, or visit the local pharmacy for advice. Please do not use an alternative tile option.

You may also notice that sometimes you won’t be booked directly with a GP. Instead, you may be seen by another member of our team – such as a nurse, pharmacist, or paramedic. This is part of the government’s plan to make sure GPs focus on the most complex cases, while you get the right care, from the right professional, at the right time.

If you are unable to complete the form online, don’t worry. You can call us, and a patient advisor will help complete it for you over the phone. Or, you can visit the practice, and when available, a member of staff will assist you.
